Cathy Chou has extensive experience in the development and implementation of spaceflight optical payloads and management thereof. She spent 17 years at the Lockheed Martin Solar Astrophysics Laboratory where she managed the design and integration and test of the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) and the Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS). Cathy has also supported the UC Berkeley Space Sciences Laboratory as the Ionospheric Connection Explorer (ICON) Far-ultraviolet (FUV) Instrument Manager and the Carruthers Geocorona Observatory Payload Manager. Her work on numerous Class D Missions and the Geostationary Carbon Observatory (GeoCarb) shape her programmatic and technical management approach to FUEGO.
